"Last Airbender" Extras Get Red Carpet Treatment

A major motion picture with some scenes filmed in Berks County isn't the only reason the red carpet was out in Boyertown Friday night. Ellixson's Tae Kwon Do Academy student perform before The Last Airbender premiere at the State Theatre. Some of these students performed on stage and in the film. I didn't really speak that much, no I didn't speak at all really, said Boyertown's Eric Nice. I wasn't really a fighter I was just a background character who was just running around and screaming most of the time, said Macungie's Braedon Walters. These kids aren't professional actors, but they are used to performing. Yeah, I'm in a movie, said Walters. Yeah most people didn't believe me. Most never expected to be in a feature film seen around the world. I can't believe it, said Nice. It was really cool I got to see M. Night Shyamalan from like me to you, said Chris Zaharia of Boyertown. Four of these martial arts students made the cut because of their instructor, Donnie Ellixson. The whole idea tonight is look for Mr. Ellixson, look for Ben Rosenberger look for the students on the film and try find them, said Ellixson. He owns the Ellixson's Tae Kwon Do academy. In one scene, I think, if you pause it just right you might be able to see me, said Ben Rosenberger of Perkiomenville. It was in the mess hall when all the fire nation soldiers were eating. Even if they don't find themselves on the big screen they say they'll never forget the experience. I can't wait to get the DVD to ...
